Man I love those rebates! just when you've forgotten about the rebate coming it shows up and is a wonderful sight to see. Even though you've spent the money to buy the product, it still feels like you've found money.
I'm also trying to repair my credit from a bad few years in the 90's. So got another credit card- activated it and threw it in the drawer. I charge about 25% on it every so often to make sure my points move up in my credit score. I've added some 50points over the last 6months and that has really helped me. I'd rather pay as little in interest when I buy my 1st house.
